Comb-vase showroom is the OUUM studio CGI concept. This scene combines colorful geometric forms revealing them delicately in a showroom place. The most exquisite center of this exposition is a honeycombs vase. We’ve been inspired by natural forms of honeycombs to create a multifunctional vase. If we look at this vase from the top we will see almost identical form as a bees honeycombs, but made from concrete ant with a different heigh. As a result, the flowers inside elegantly emphasize and demonstrate these forms and composition.
We went from nature and once we will come back to nature. Above all, we are part of it. Nature forms are always ideal and completed. In conclusion, we can just follow them and get inspiration with it. It is so hard and exciting at the same time to design 2d forms in 3d composition, to keep them expressive and balance between the forms. In Comb-vase showroom colored geometric objects come across each other, sometimes stuck together or lead our view through composition. After that, it’s almost a conversation.
Furthermore, the interior of the showroom looks more unusual because of the colored blocks which look like lego blocks in a real interior. They get attention but still stay simple. We’ve tried to find this harmony between intense colors in composition, but make it in balance. Especially, when we work with intersections of different geometric shapes and their colors. Sometimes we don’t need a lot of patterns to get picture attractive, we have so many options like light and shadows, colors and forms, reflections, mirrors and, etc. But the most important thing in this case – it’s a balance.
For example how the light falls on the forms and how they change these forms and colors. Or how golden surface or glass balls reflect everything in space. Everything is connected.
